PROVE THAT PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS HAVE REAL POWER AT THE POLLS!
NYCAHN is a steering committee of New York Votes.
NYCAHN has endorsed the platform found at www.aidsvote.org
Please call NYCAHN at 718-802-9540 to arrange for a community organizer to come on out to your site and register your clients/participants/tenants/members to register to VOTE!
But NYCAHN isn't only registering voters. We are also working to get our community to the polls!
AND, we will be meeting with Board of Election officials to ensure that the votes from our members, who move frequently, are often homeless and who frequently have a history of felony convinctions are actually counted at the polls.
If you would like to get more involved in the NYCAHN AIDSvotes Campaign, call Jennifer at (718) 802-9540 or come to a campaign strategy meeting any Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the NYCAHN office.
NYCAHN will register 5,000 voters and turn out 500 low-income people living with HIV/AIDS to the polls FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR LIVES.
You should VOTE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, BECAUSE, AS WE HAVE LEARNED, IT DOES!
"In the final analysis it doesn't really matter what the political system is...We don't need perfect political systems; we need perfect participation." -Cesar Chavez (who registed 2,000 farm workers in one month)
